Does your organization spend a lot of time and money trying to improve employee performance and productivity? Evaluation answers the questions you have about your training and other performance improvement interventions.  Jane Holcomb, Ph.D. wrote her dissertation on how to evaluate employee training.  She is the author of Make Training Worth Every Penny which has recently been reissued by an international publisher as Training Evaluation Made Easy.

Dr. Holcomb can help you evaluate your programs in the following ways:

  • Presentations: (60-90 min.) Make Training Worth Every Penny
This presentation gives participants a Tool, a Link, and a Process. The Tool is a job aid that helps you choose the best method to evaluate your program. The Link shows you how to link your method of evaluation to your needs assessment and your program objectives. The Process shows you how to use evaluation to ensure the transfer of learning.
  • Seminars: (1 day - 1 1/2 days) Step-by-Step Evaluation Process
The participants come prepared with one of their programs to use as a case study and apply the six steps to their own program. The steps start with clarity on the purpose of their program and the purpose for the evaluation. It ends with how to analyze data, make reports and recommendations based on the evaluation information.

  • Consulting/Counseling: (as needed) Train-the-Evaluator
The objective is to work one-on-one with your programs to help you become an efficient evaluator. The tools and techniques applied to current programs can be transferred to past and future improvement efforts. This is a very intense focus on your unique issues and concerns regarding improving programs and demonstrating the return on the investment.
